The Tennessee Valley Authority Plans A 5.3% Base Rate Increase Effective October 1st. This Follows A 4.5% Increase Just Last Year. This Will Add Approximately $4.35 To The Average Monthly Residential Bill. TVA Cites Ongoing Construction And Energy Development As Reasons For The Increase. The Tva Board Also Approved An Additional $150 Million For Nuclear Projects, Bringing Total Funding To $350 Million. The Agency Is Working To Build 3,500 Megawatts Of New Generation To Meet Growing Regional Demand.
