According To The Tennessee Department Of Safety And Homeland Security, Existing Licenses Remain Valid Until Their Expiration. Citizens Will Only Need To Update Their Cards If They Expire Or Require Changes. The New Design Applies To All TDOSHS-Issued Credentials, Including Real Ids And Handgun Carry Permits.
