The Carter County Emergency And Rescue Squad Has Received Just Over 24-Thousand Dollars In Grant Funding. The Money Is Being Provided Through The Tennessee Department Of Commerce And Insurance And The Tennessee State Fire Marshall’s Office. The Funds Will Be Used To Replace Outdated Equipment. This Is Part Of 3-Million Dollars Being Given Out To 104 Rescue Squads In The State. Other Local Squads Receiving Grants Include Johnson County Ems And Ambulance Service, Bluff City Rescue Squad And The Unicoi County Emergency Management Agency.
