The Kingsport Public Library Will Soon Be Making A Temporary Move To The Fort Henry Mall In The Near Future. This Is Part Of The First Major Extensive Renovation Plan For The Downtown Location In 30 Years. The Library Is Expected To Move Into The Mall No Later Than The First Quarter Of Next Year. The Renovations Will Include A Larger Children’s Area, New Elevator, Four New Study Rooms, Expanded Teen Maker Space And More. The City Is Utilizing 6-Million Dollars In American Rescue Plan Act Funds To Help Pay For The Project.
