Bristol Virginia City Leaders Have Introduced A Proposal To Increase Penalties Regarding The Current Camping Bans On Sidewalks In The City. The Change Would Increase The Charge For Camping On Public-Rights-Of-Way From A Class 4 To A Class One Misdemeanor With A Penalty Of Jail Time For Up To A Year And/Or A 25-Hundred Dollar Fine. Additionally, The Ban Has Been Expanded To Include The City’s Public Parks. The Measure Passed On First Reading And The City Council Is Set To Meet Again August 27th At 6pm.
