The Town Of Glade Spring Virginia Has Installed A New Digital Public Warning System. It’s Solar Powered And Has A Siren And Public Address Speakers To Alert Residents Of What’s Going On. Fire Department Assistant Chief Ricky Stumbo Said The System Is Hands-Off And Will Function Even If There’s No Power. It Will Automatically Activate In Certain Severe Weather Situations, Such As When Winds Are Expected To Be 70 Miles Per Hour Or Above Or When There Is Hail One Inch Or Larger.
