The City Of Elizabethton Water Resources Has Issued A Precautionary Boil Water Notice For Customers In The Western Section Of Carter County. This Was Due To A Water Main Break That Occurred On Highway 400, Near Cripple Creek Loop. Residents In The Town Of Watauga And Surrounding Areas Are Encouraged To Bring Tap Water To A Rolling Boil For One Minute Before Consuming It.
