A Pursuit By Wise County Virginia Sheriff’s Deputies Lead To A Crash Resulting In One Person Being Killed. The Chase Started In Hazard Kentucky Before Crossing Over Into Virginia. The Occupants Of The Vehicle Were Reportedly Involved In A Theft Prior To The Pursuit. The Vehicle Was Spotted On Us 23 South In The Pound Area. It Took Off At A High Rate Of Speed, Weaving In And Out Of Traffic Before Crossing Over And Driving In The Wrong Direction. A Pit Maneuver Was Attempted But Failed And The Suspect Vehicle Continued On, Eventually Striking A Passenger Vehicle Head-On. The Collision Resulted In One Death. Four Subjects, Including The Suspect, Were Transported To A Medical Facility For Treatment. Charges Are Pending The Outcome Of The Investigation.
