IIf The Next Fiscal Year’s Spending Plan For Washington County Tennessee Is Approved, Employees Will See Higher Pay At The First Of Next Month. The Budget Committee Passed A $2 Pay Hike For General Employees, While Sheriff’s Office Employees Will Get A $1.50 Per Hour Increase. This Is Part Of A 102-Million Dollar Proposed Budget, Which Would Take Effect July 1st. The Spending Plan Would Also Include A 30-Cent Increase To The County’s Recently Certified Property Tax Rate. This Will Bring The New Rate To $1.71 Per $100 Of Assessed Value. A Public Hearing Date On The Proposed Budget Is Set For June 20th At The Justice Center In Jonesborough.
