The Virginia Port Authority Wants To Further Study The Oak Park Center For Business And Industry Site In Washington County For A Proposed Inland Port Site. The Facility Would Be Only The Second Such One In The Commonwealth And Would Facilitate The Transfer Of Commercial Cargo Between Rail And Highways. The Recent Virginia Biennial Budget Includes An Additional 2.5 Million Dollars To Conduct A Study For The Facility, Which Is Currently Underway. The Next Update On The Project Is Expected In September.
