The Hawkins County Budget Committee Is Recommending A Property Tax Hike In Order To Balance The 2024-25 Fiscal Year Budget. The Proposal, Calls For A 10 Cent Increase With 8 Cents Designated For Highway Capital Improvements And Two Cents Going For The General Capital Projects Fund. The Proposal Will Now Go To The County Commission, Which Meets Again On June 24th.
