State Senator Jon Lundberg Of Bristol Has Announced Three Major Grants From The Tennessee Department Of Economic And Community Development To Expand Broadband To Unserved Areas Of Both Sullivan And Hawkins Counties. Lundberg Said Broadband Expansion Is Needed To Help Connect Individuals, Families And Businesses Across The Districts. This Will Promote High-Paying Digital Jobs To These Areas. The Grants Will Be Distributed To Organizations That Will Offer A Variety Of Training And Education Programs To Advance Digital Skills And Workforce Development. The Projects Are Expected To Be Completed By December 2026. Applications Will Be Accepted Between May 15th And And June 15th.
