Several Showed Up At A Public Hearing In Russell County Virginia Concerning A Proposal That Calls For Shutting Down Two Elementary Schools In The County. The Consolidation Plans Involves Closing Swords Creek And Copper Creek And Moving Those Students To Honaker And Castlewood Elementary Schools. Several Teachers As Well As Parents, Spoke Out Against The Move And Said They Feel The Two Schools Are Getting The Shaft. A Decision On The Matter Is Expected At The May 7th School Board Meeting.
