Municipalities In The County Already Collect An Occupancy Tax. Sullivan County Did Something Similar Last Year And Generated An Extra 341-Thousand Dollars Within The First Six Months. County Mayor Joe Grandy Estimated A 4-Percent Tax Could Generate As Much As 650-Thousand Dollars Annually. The Budget Committee Has Requested A Formal Resolution Be Proposed.
