Leaders At Tri-Cities Airport Are Looking Forward To Growing The Facility In 2024. The Focus Is A Master Plan For The Tri. According To Executive Director, Gene Cossey, Right Now, Demand Far Exceeds Capacity, So The Plan Aims At Approaching Airlines To Seek More Flights In And Out Of Tri-Cities. The Airport Received A 900-Thousand Dollar Grant Last Year To Incentivize Air Carriers To Provide Non-Stop Flights From Tri-Cities To Chicago’s O’Hare International Airport. Negotiations With The Carriers Are Underway And It Could Be Up To Eight Months Before There’s Any Updates On The Effort.
