Mountain Empire Community College In Big Stone Gap Virginia Has Received A 200-Thousand Dollar Grant. The Money Is Being Provided From The Virginia Coalfield Economic Development Authority’s Coalfield Workforce Development And Training Fund. The Money Will Go Toward Scholarships, Tuition, Training Instructional Costs, Retraining Expenses, Customized Workforce Training For Area Businesses, And More. To Date, More Than A Million Dollars Has Been Given To The College From The Authority.
