Brightridge Is Looking For Grant Funding In Order To Expand Fiber Optic Internet Infrastructure To Rural Parts Of Washington County. The Original Plan Wasn’t Expected To Be Completed Until 2026, But Its Two Years Ahead Of Schedule. Brightridge Officials Plan To Apply For Federal Grants To Help Cover The Cost Of The Expansion. Construction On The Rural Expansion Will Start Next Year Or 2025. The Eventual Goal Is To Reach 100 Percent Of Electric Customers.
