East Tennessee State University’s Reece Museum’s Sammie L. Nicely Collection Has Received $65,000 In Grant Funding. The Collection Focuses On Black Imagery And Themes To Tell Its Appalachian Story Containing 50 Of Nicel’s Own Artworks From His Personal Collection. Funding From The Grand Will Help In Further Research Of The Collection And Create Programs To Engage The Community And Connect Natives With Their History.
