The Greene County Budget Committee Is Set To Meet This Evening To Hold A Workshop On The Proposed Budget, Which Includes A 38-Cent Property Tax Increase. The Current Rate Of $1.27, Would Increase To $1.65 Per $100 Of Assessed Value. The Hike Is Needed In Order To Retain Employees And Remain Competitive With Neighboring Counties. However, It Doesn’t Include Pay Raises For School Teachers. The Meeting Gets Underway At 6pm At The County Courthouse.
