A Federal Judge In U.S. District Court In Abingdon Made No Decision Concerning A Proposed Federal Landfill Settlement Involving Bristol Tennessee And Virginia. A Public Hearing Was Held Yesterday To Determine If The Lawsuit Settlement Is Fair, Adequate, Reasonable And In The Public Interest. It Calls For Bristol Virginia To Make A One-Time Payment Of $300,000 To Bristol Tennessee And Also Monitor Air Quality On The Tennessee Side And Make Those Results Public. A Decision Is Expected Soon.
