During A Special Called Session, The Unicoi County Commission Approved On First Reading, A 26 Cent Property Tax Increase In The 2023-24 Fiscal Year Budget. This Will Bring The County’s Property Tax Rate To $3.11 Per $100 Of Assessed Value. Budget Chair Stephen Hindrix Said The County Had To Contend With Significant Rises In Operational Costs When Drafting The New Spending Plan. Second Reading On The Budget Will Take Place June 26th.
