An Inland Port Allows Freight To Be Moved Between Trucks And Trains. There’s Currently Only One Such Inland Port Facility, Which Is In Port Royal Virginia Near The Intersection Of Interstates 81 And 66. Other Such Inland Port Projects Are Underway In Alabama And Georgia. None Would Be In Direct Competition With A Port In Southwest Virginia.
