A Jonesborough Man Is Facing Charges After He Allegedly Attempted To Hit Deputies With A Car. Washington County Tennessee Sheriff’s Deputies Attempted To Serve Multiple Warrants On 34 Year Old Dustin Hughes At A Home In The 100 Block Of Brandon Lane Friday Morning. Hughes Was Found Sitting In A Vehicle When Deputies Attempted To Serve Him. Hughes Began To Flee In The Vehicle And Reportedly Tried To Hit Three Deputies In The Process. Hughes Accelerated Toward A Fourth Deputy, Who Fired Shots At Him. Hughes Continued To Flee Until Crashing The Vehicle. He Was Not Struck By The Deputy’s Fire. He Is Facing Three Countys Reckless Endangerment, One Count Aggravated Assault On An Officer And Other Charges. Hughes Is Being Held On A $40,000 Dollar Bond .
