A Rogersville Man Accused Of Committing A Violent Crime Against His Wife In Scott County Virginia Has Been Sentenced In Circuit Court. 48 Year Old Robert Brotherton Was Convicted Following A Two-Day Bench Trial Of Aggravated Malicious Wounding, Strangulation, Abduction And Violating A Protective Order. Brotherton Was Sentenced To 15 Years In Prison. Prosecutors Said He Held His Wife Captive, Attacked Her And Left Her Alone In Their Home Without Cell Service To Call For Help. Once He’s Released From Prison, Brotherton Will Be Placed On Probation.
