Kingsport Is The First Law Enforcement Agency In Northeast Tennessee To Implement Flock Safety Automated License Plate Reading Cameras Throughout The City. The Camera’s Are Tied To A Vast Array Of Cameras In Over 2,000 Cities In 42 States Across The Country. They Capture Visual Evidence, Such As Vehicle Make, Model And Color, License Plate Or Lack Thereof And Unique Vehicle Features. Police Chief Dale Phipps Said The Flock Safety Cameras Are Just Another Tool In The Crime-Fighting Toolbox.
