The Elizabethton City Council Has Approved On Final Reading, A New Hotel And Motel Tax. It Will Be 4% Of Monthly Receipts From The Rental Of Rooms And Spaces To Transients. The Proceeds From The Tax Will Be Used To Promote Tourism And Tourism Development. The New Tax Will Be Added Onto The 5% Hotel And Motel Tax Currently Levied By Carter County. The New Rate Will Go Into Effect In July.
