In The Near Future, The City Of Kingsport Could Issue A 38-Million Dollar Bond To Help Cover The Cost Of Repairs To The Buck Van Huss Dome At Dobyns-Bennett And Several Other Projects. The City Had Already Discussed Issuing A Bond Before Now, But Those Plans Were Put On Hold After Figures For The Cost Of Dome Repairs Came In Higher Than Expected. A Portion Of The Money Will Also Be Used To Construct A New Fire Station Number 2 As Well As Renovate The Kingsport Public Library. City Manager, Chris Mccartt, Said The Decision To Issue Bonds, Is Expected To Be Made Within The Next Few Months.
