A Trial Date Has Been Set In U.S. District Court In Knoxville Concerning A Lawsuit Brought By Former Greeneville Assistant Police Chief Michael Crum Against The City. The Civil Action Filed Last December By Crum, Seeks $1.25 Million In Damages And Reinstatement To His Job. He Claims His Property, Liberty And Due Process Rights Were Violated In Connection With His Termination. Crum Was Dismissed Following An Internal Investigation That Revealed Low Morale Among Officers, Along With Allegations Of Favoritism And Possible Discriminatory Treatment Of Female Officers. The Jury Trial Is Set To Begin On April 9th 2024.
