Bristol Virginia Leaders Are Expected To Consider A Rental Property Inspection Program Tonight For Certain Parts Of The City. According To Planning Director, Jay Detrick, The Program Will Help The City Target Dilapidated Or Blighted Parts Of The City, After Renters Complain Their Landlords Are Not Maintaining The Property. The Ordinance Would Establish Two Zones, An Inspection Process And It’S Modeled After Programs Currently Offered In Richmond And Roanoke. If Approved, It Would Go Into Effect July 1St. The Meeting Gets Underway This Evening At 6 Pm.
