Bristol Virginia Police Are Now Working With Project Lifesaver To Help Locate Those With Alzheimer’s, Autism, Dementia, And Other Cognitive Conditions. According To Lieutenant Ronnie Leonard, A Transmitter Is Placed On The Ankle Or Wrist Of The Person, Which Sends A Radio Signal To The Sheriff’S Office. If They Are Reported Missing, They Can Use The Last Known Location And Use A Handheld Device To Track Their Movements. Leonard Says There’s An 80-Percent Increase In Clients In Bristol Who Are Participating In The Program.
