The Bristol Virginia Housing Authority Has Received Just Over A Million Dollars In Federal Grant Funding. This Is Part Of More Than 4-Million Dollars In Federal Public Housing Funds. Executive Director, Lisa Porter, Said The Money Will Be Used To Help Modernize Public Housing Apartments. It Can Also Be Used To Address Maintenance Needs, Reduce Vacancies, Relocate Residents, And More. Meanwhile, The Authority, Is Working On Efforts To Get Tax Credit Funding To Build 39 Townhomes On Vacant Lots At Mary And Moore Streets. That Request Is Expected To Be Addressed By This Spring.
