A Recreational Water Advisory Has Been Issued By The Virginia Department Of Health For The South Fork Of The Powell River Near East Stone Gap To The Powell River At Big Stone Gap, Following A Sewage Release After A Main Failure. Vdh Is Asking Folks To Avoid Water Activities Such As Swimming, Wading, Tubing And Whitewater Kayaking. Repair Efforts Are Expected To Continue Through Wednesday. At This Time There Is No Impacts To Drinking Water.
