A Carter County Man Is Facing Assault Charges After He Allegedly Tackled A Woman On Her Property. Carter County Deputies Responded To The Call On Toll Branch Road Friday. Upon Arrival They Were Told James R. Ferguson Was There To Complete Work On The House. The Woman Told The Man To Leave The Property When He Allegedly Grabbed Her And Flung Her Off The Home’s Front Steps Tackling Her In The Yard And Forcing Her Face Into The Mud. Ferguson Fled When Told Police Were Coming Reportedly Hitting The Woman’s Car As He Left. Investigators Collected Video Evidence At The Scene Corroborating The Woman’s Story. Ferguson Is Being Held In Jail.
