So Far, 18 People Have Put Their Name In The Hat To Be The Next Superintendent Of Washington County Virginia Schools. Current Superintendent, Brian Ratliff, Announced Plans To Retire Later This Year. The Virginia School Boards Association Has Been Asked To Help Seek Applicants For The Job, Which Has Generated Quite A Bit Of Interest. Nine Of The 18 Applicants Are Former Or Current Superintendents. School Leaders Are Expected To Begin The Next Phase Of The Process, Which Is Narrowing The List Of Applicants For Interviews.
