The Virginia House Of Delegates Has Approved Four Bills Which Would Allow For Small Modular Nuclear Reactors To Be Used To Produce Power In Southwest Virginia. One Of The Bills Introduced By Israel O’Quinn Of Bristol Would Allow For Three Devices Throughout The Commonwealth, But Their Locations Haven’t Yet Been Identified. The Agreement Would Require Seven Counties In Southwest Virginia As Well As The City Of Norton To Enter Into A Perpetual Revenue Sharing Agreement. The Measures Have Already Passed The House Of Delegates And They Will All Go Before The State Senate.
