A New Gas Well Project At The Bristol, Virginia Landfill Is Expected To Cost Up To 10-Million Dollars. The City Council Voted To Hire SCS Contractors To Drill 35 Additional Wells In The Quarry Landfill And Attach Them To The Current Gas Collection System. This Is One Of Multiple Items Recommended By A State Panel Of Experts To Address Concerns Centered Around Odor And Emissions. The Work Must Be Completed By June 14Th.
