The Town Of Greeneville Has Issued A Response Concerning A Lawsuit Filed By Former Assistant Greeneville Police Chief Michael Crum Who Was Terminated In 2021. Crum Is Seeking $1.25 Million In Damages And Reinstatement To His Job. The Town Is Asking For The Complaint To Be Dismissed With All Costs And Expenses Taxed To Crum. Crum Was A 41 Year Veteran Of The Department Following An Internal Investigation That Revealed Low Morale Among Officer, Along With Allegations Of Favoritism And Possible Discriminatory Treatment Of Female Officers. Crum Is Also Seeking Lost Wages, Benefits And Other Compensatory Damages. The Civil Complaint Demands A Jury Trial. No Date Has Been Set.
