Three Tri Cities People Are In Custody In Southwest Virginia Following A Home Invasion In Which The Victim Was Held At Gunpoint And Tied Up. Anthony Hawkins Of Kingsport Is Facing Multiple Charges Including Felony Eluding Police, Two Counts Of Malicious Wounding Of Law Enforcement And Abduction/Kidnapping. Two Other People Are In Custody. Authorities Said The Incident Happened In The Swords Creek Community. The Victim Told Police The Suspects Entered His Home At Gunpoint, Tied Him Up And Stole Several Items. The Smyth County Sheriff’s Office Chased The Suspects Who Are Accused Of Firing Shots At Officers. They Were Apprehended After Their Vehicle Became Disabled. Police Said The Victim Was Targeted. Hawkins Is Being Held Without Bond And Will Appear In Court On January 5th.
