The Tennessee Utility Management Review Board Has Recommended The South Fork Utility No Longer Operate As A Single Entity. The Board Recommends The Utility Merge With Either The Bristol-Bluff City Utility District Or The City Of Bristol’S Water System. The Push For Change Comes Following Issues With The Utility’s Management That Resulted In The Resignation This Week Of Former Manager Garry Smith As Well As The Result Of Findings In An Independent Third-Party Feasibility Study. The Results Show Joining One Of The Other Utilities Would Save Customers Between 24 And 43 Percent. It’S Unclear When The Change Might Take Place.
