The Observation Knob Campground Committee Has Voted To Send A Recommendation To The County Commission To Implement The 2012 Version Of The Tennessee Valley Authority’s Park Policy. In The New Policy, All Campers And Every Campsite Must Be Vacated For 14 Consecutive Days In A 12-Month Period. This Is To Allow TVA To Come In And Inspect The Grounds. Campers Coming Back After The Inspection Would Not Be Assigned The Same Campsites. Park Manager, Chris Ihrke, Said The New Policy Comes With A Number Of Stipulations, Which Could Change The Way The Park Functions. Even If The County Commission Approves The Measure, It Would Not Able To Be Implemented Until January 2023 At The Earliest.
