More Than A Million Dollars In Federal Money Is Headed To Southwest Virginia. Most Of That Is Going To Smyth County With The Largest Portion Going To The Town Of Marion. The Town Plans To Use The Money To Purchase A New Fire Truck Valued At Just Over A Million Dollars And A New 254-Thousand Dollar Sanitation Truck. The Fire Truck Funds Are A Loan, While The Sanitation Truck Money Is Being Paid For With Just Over 139-Thousand Dollars In Grant Funding.
