October Is Pedestrian Safety Month And The Virginia Department Of Motor Vehicles Urges Pedestrians And Motorists Alike To Take Extra Precautions And Use Care To Save Lives. So Far This Year, Crashes Have Killed 123 Pedestrians On Virginia Roadways, Which Is A 34% Increase Compared To A Year Ago. 60% Of Those Killed Were Over The Age Of 50. Fatal Crashes Were Most Likely To Occur Between 6 Pm And Midnight. Together, We Can Save Lives On Our Roadways.
