1st District Attorney General Steve Finney Had Some Harsh Words For Ballad Health Concerning The Way An Alleged Rape Victim Was Treated At One Of Their Hospitals. Finney Sent A Letter To Ballad In Reference To An Abduction That Occurred In Johnson City Last Month In Which A Woman And Her Child Were Carjacked From A Bank Atm On West Market Street In Broad Daylight. The 27 Year Old Mother Was Taken To An Abandoned House And Raped. The Letter Claims Staff At Johnson City Med Center Demanded The Victim Be Taken To The Waiting Room Instead Of To The Sexual Assault Nurse Exam Room. The Woman Reportedly Waited Five Hours Before A Rape Kit Was Completed. Ballad Health Chairman And CEO Alan Levine Has Ordered A Review Take Place Concerning The Matter.
