The Virginia Department Of Transportation Is Doing Work On Just Over 16-Million Dollars Worth Of Interstate 81 Projects In Southwest Virginia For The Bristol District. Plans Include A Number Of New On And Off Ramps, Improvements To Existing Ramps, Anti-Slip Coating, Fencing, And Adding New Accelerating Lanes. Most Of The Work Is Expected To Take Place Between Mile Markers 38 And 54. Construction Is Expected To Be Finished In The Spring Of Next Year.
