More Information Has Been Released Concerning A Kingsport Shooting That Forced The Lockdown Of Several Schools In The Area. Police Said A Report By A Man Claiming To Have Been Shot By Someone Who Fled The Scene Was False. The Incident Occurred At The Intersection Of Cypress And Ash Streets Yesterday Afternoon. When Police Arrived, They Found Two People Suffered Non-Life Threatening Injuries. The Two Allegedly Lied To Officers, Claiming A Third Person Had Shot Them And Then Ran With A Gun To A Neighborhood Nearby, Which Caused The Lockdown. An Investigation Revealed The Man Had Accidentally Shot Himself In The Hand With The Bullet Passing Through And Hitting The Other Person. Police Recovered The Gun And Charges Are Pending. No Names Have Been Released At This Time.
