Kingsport City Schools Superintendent Dr. Jeff Moorhouse Has Announced He Will Be Retiring Soon. He Cited New Funding Formulas By The State Of Tennessee As The Reason For His Decision. He Sent A Letter To The School Board Expressing His Thanks For The Opportunity To Lead The School System Since He Was Hired In 2018. Moorhouse Said The Formula Should Provide Opportunities For An Incoming Superintendent To Work With The Board And His Or Her Leadership Team In Aligning Those Resources With A Collective Vision Of Success. His Last Day On The Job Will Be October 31st.
