The Hawkins County Commission Has Passed Two Resolutions This Week That Provides $600,000 In Donations From The Baby Doe Opioid Lawsuit Settlement Money. The First Resolution Will Provide $300,000 For Isaiah 117 House, Which Recently Started A Chapter For Hawkins And Hamblen Counties. The Organization Provides Foster Care For Kids Until They Find A Permanent Placement. The Second Resolution Gives $200,000 To The Sheriff’S Office Drug Fund. The Commission Gave $400,000 Last Month To The Northeast Tennessee Regional Drug Treatment Facility That Will Open In Roan Mountain. The County Still Has Over A Half-A-Million In Baby Doe Funds Left.
