The Tennessee Bureau Of Investigation Has Launched An Investigaiton After A Use Of Force Incident Involving A Kingsport Police Officer. The Incident Occurred August 8th After Officers Responded To A Disturbance Call In The Parking Lot Of Kroger On East Stone Drive. 75 Year Old Edris Marrero Was Reportedly Found Beating On Windows Of A Vehicle While Yelling At The Driver Inside. Officers Attempted To Speak With Marrero Who Allegedly Then Became Combative. A Confrontation Followed And At Some Point Marrero Became Unresponsive. Marrero Died Five Days After The Incident.
