More Security Is On The Way To Some Schools In Washington County Virginia. Grant Funding Has Been Obtained By The Abingdon Police Department And The County Sheriff’S Office, Which Will Allow For Officers To Be Placed At Abingdon, John S. Battle, Patrick Henry, And Holston High Schools. The County Provides 41 Officers To Cover All Schools In The County, With The Exception Of Abingdon Schools.
