Johnson City Commissioners Have Approved On Final Ready An Ordinance To Rezone Property Off South Roan Street. A Developer Plans To Use A 5.9 Million Loan From The City To Construct 145 Apartments For The Current Residents Of The John Sevier Center. Several People Spoke Against The Move Saying It Would Cause An Influx Of People In The Area. The Rest Of The 31 Million Dollar Funding For The Project Will Come From Tax Credit Equity And Hud. The Project Is Expected To Be Completed By 2025.
